The Triple Treat event held at Eildon yesterday was well supported with 8 teams of 3 or 4 players taking part. The rules were modified for “new” players with each team fielding 1 or 2 inexperienced players. These players wore plain bibs so that they could be identified for refereeing purposes.
The Colour Crew won the day, led by by Philip Rowland and 2 new Eildon players. They won 7 out of 8 games.
Other teams competing were from Moreton Bay x 2, Pine Rivers, McIlwraith, Twin Rivers and a composite Bribie Island/Pine Rivers.
COVID rules were in place.
The aim of the day was to provide new players with an opportunity to experience competitive team play under a more accessible regimen.
