After the State Gateball Team and Doubles Championship that were held in Rockhampton, a Level 1, Foundation Level Coaching Course, was organised at Rockhampton MSC and Gracemere CC on 20th and 21st August. Lynda Davis, the QLD Coaching Director, travelled to Rockhampton to conduct the course and was assisted by Jim and Barbara Northcott who are accredited Trainers of Foundation Coaching Courses. Five Gateball players attended and successfully passed the Course. Congratulations to all of them on their enthusiasm and commitment to ensure that the players they coach receive the best training possible.

The new coaches are from Gracemere- Peter Kajewski; from Rockhampton Mallet Sports Club- Lynne Farry and Mary Dunn; and from Deception Bay Gateball Club- Ros Crowe and Keith Chur-Hansen.
