McILWRAITH GATEBALL CHALLENGE

TO BE PLAYED AT McILWRAITH CROQUET CLUB

29th, 30th & 31st March 2014

This year, the McIlwraith Gateball Challenge will follow the usual format with teams events to be played on Saturday and Sunday with Doubles to follow and finish on Monday 31st (if the number of Doubles team entries require this).

Entry fee is $70 per team for the Team event and $10 per team for the following Doubles competition. The entry fee includes ‘help yourself’ tea and coffee plus morning and afternoon tea. All other refreshments including lunch, etc., will be on a BYO basis. As it is intended to provide a BBQ dinner for the Regional Co-ordinators on the Saturday evening, any other players who wish to stay on and cook their own dinner at the Club are most welcome.

It is expected that all persons entering shall be registered financial members/players of CAQ or associated/related organisations.

Teams will be required to provide referees and assistants as required and bring their own sticks and bibs. Depending on numbers, Doubles players should also be prepared to play in ‘self refereed’ games.

Games will be played in either a round robin or block draw format and the current ‘Official Gateball Rules’ shall apply.

To enter, just send a cheque made payable to McIlwraith Croquet Club with the Team names or Doubles names before Friday 7th March or email your entry before the closing date and then pay on the day.
