-The Victorian Gateball championship will this year be held at the Elsternwick Croquet Club on the last weekend in March (Covid-Permitting). As a result of uncertainty of the new COVID-world, we are going to have a more flexible schedule, with some Gateball events, strategy workshops and more to round out the weekend. We hope for a good mix of experience levels and will have something for everyone.
-The John Bradley pairs will be played as normal. This will most likely be on the Sunday.
-The team event will only be played if there are enough teams to justify it. We may revert to a (rotational) triples tournament if that seems more reasonable, or play a tournament with mixed composite teams of interested players. This will be played in a more social manner but still follow a tournament structure.
-Should you wish to enter any of the events please indicate this as soon as possible by contacting Anthony Dask on 0435806079. Please do not wait until the cut-off date of the 14th of March. The sooner we know how many are coming, the sooner we can design the weekend.
-Due to the constantly changing nature of restrictions in Victoria, the tournament committee may, at any time before the event change the format of the team or triples event to ensure that there are enough players to facilitate the matches.
-We hope you can come and join us in Elsternwick which is only 2 min from the CBD and only 10 min by tram from the sunny beachside suburbs of St Kilda and Elwood.
